FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

FEBRUARY 4, 2019

FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

February 4-8th, is Staff Appreciation Week.  We have the most dedicated, caring, professional teachers, secretaries, aides, supervisors, daycare staff, and caretakers around.  We are extremely fortunate to have these wonderful people in our children’s lives and this week is a great opportunity to say thanks…a note or card, a drawing or letter….just a little something to say how much they are appreciated goes a very long way.

Term 2 is coming to an end this month.  You can expect your child’s report card to be sent home on Friday, March 1st.  For this round of interviews, teachers will only be contacting parents for those students who they need to see on the evening of Feb 21stand during the day of Feb 22nd.

Our virtue for the month of February is Appreciating Differences.  At our last assembly, the Grade 6 students challenged the students to give a compliment to one another to recognize something different or special about that person.  Their message was powerful-  we are all different and we should celebrate it!  We will be doing some special activities this month to appreciate our differences.

March Break is March 4-8th….enjoy!
