February Newsletter

FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

February is a short but very busy month at school! Please check the newsletter for all of the exciting news. Report cards will be going home before the March Break and teachers will be in contact with you should they require a meeting to discuss your child’s progress. As always if you have any concerns, please contact your child’s teacher.

We want to welcome some new members of staff who have joined us since Christmas. Greg Younger-Lewis (aka Monsieur Gregoire) will be replacing Mme Gagne until the end of the year in Grade 6. Jennifer Friis and Chantal Nugent are working as a team to provide our resource program in the school, as Ms Borst has gone on maternity leave. And we are happy to have Manon Reynolds and Jen Bardell working with students in French and Math resource through grants until the end of the year. They are all welcome additions to our team.

Feb 6-10th is Staff Appreciation Week. We are so very fortunate to have the most caring and dedicated group of professionals working with our students every day: teachers, secretaries, aides, supervisors, daycare staff, and caretakers. We are extremely fortunate to have these wonderful people in our children’s lives and it is a great opportunity to say thanks…a note or card, a drawing or letter….just a little something to say how much they are appreciated goes a very long way.

Term 3 begins Monday, February 6th.
