WAKEFIELD ELEMENTARY NEWSLETTER Thursday, December 1, 2016

FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

Thanks to everyone for a great two days of Parent-Teacher interviews. It is wonderful to see how much our parents support our students and take an interest in school and learning. This is why we have such successful students- it takes a team!

It’s hard to believe we are getting ready for our holiday break around the corner. There are many fun activities going on at school in the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing you at some of them.

Wishing your family a restful, happy holiday and all the best in the New Year! We look forward to working hard when we get back to school in January.

LOST AND FOUND

Our Lost and Found is becoming an issue at school that needs your help. There is an incredible amount of clothing being left behind at school regularly- the usual hats and mitts, but also lots of jackets, footwear and many tops like sweaters, hoodies, fleece and cardigans. Please take the time to check in the Lost and Found (located in the hallway outside the gym) if you are here at the school for any reason. Also, please speak to your children about checking the Lost and Found for any items they might have left and are missing. Please also label your child’s clothing whenever possible. It is taking our volunteers a great deal of time to sort through, wash and deliver these items to have them reused. We thank you for your support!
