Principal’s Message- November 2nd, 2016

Date: November 2, 2016 Author: Julie Fram-Greig Categories: Principal's Message

Time is going by quickly! We have been working very hard in class focusing on our learning goals in the past two months. Already we are at the end of Term 1 and preparing for Parent- Teacher Interviews in November. We will be contacting you shortly with your scheduled time, taking into account those parents with more than one child and who work in town. This is a great opportunity for you to sit down with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress so far and what next steps can be.

This month, as a school, we are focusing on the Tribes agreement of Appreciation- saying something kind, being thankful and grateful. The K5s will be doing some artwork for our bulletin boards and the Grade 5s will be doing an energizer for our celebration assembly at the end of the month. We will be practicing Appreciation throughout the month and recognizing students with our new awards that align with our school motto: Be Yourself, Better Yourself, Believe in Yourself and Leader of the Pack.

Congratulations to one of our teachers, Sylvie Pouliotte, who has been nominated for the Western Quebec Award for Teaching Excellence this year. Mme Sylvie will be honoured at a special dinner this week with the other schools’ nominees. This is a huge honour for Sylvie and a very well deserved one.
