FROM THE PRINCIPAL: We have many exciting events happening during the month of April! Our PALS leaders have been working hard learning games to teach the younger students, and the program will officially start on Monday, April 3rd. As we head into Spring, the playground is about to become a huge swimming pool! Our kids love to be outdoors, so please send your child with the proper clothes for the weather- we will be going outside as often as possible.
A reminder that school starts at 8:10am with homeroom, then classes start for the day at 8:20am. It really impacts a child when they arrive to school once the day has begun; please make every effort to make sure your child is on time for school.

BAND VISIT We were visited by the Hadley/Philemon Wright band on April 3rd. They gave an amazing performance for our students in the morning.

ARTIST IN THE SCHOOL Wakefield Elementary School has invited local artist Emily Rose Michaud to create a collective mural project April 5th, 6th, 7th and 13th. Collective murals forge our sense of community, and contribute to a greater sense of belonging and engagement with our environment. During this multi-day workshop, we will realize a collective mural project with the entire student body. Over the course of this workshop, we will explore a diversity of concepts and history related to Tempera paint, with an accent on DIY production! The content and approach to each workshop will be catered to the level, number and needs of each class of students in the school. It is important that your child is present during their class’s scheduled time to participate in this project.
